The College ski trip has run annually since 2003. Taking place in the February half term holiday, it has been to Austria on a regular basis.
We have visited the Ziller Valley, near Innsbruck in the Tyrol, for many years and have a good knowledge of all the ski areas that the students will use.
New Year 12 students and their Parents are invited to the information evening, usually on the first Wednesday evening after teaching starts in mid-September. This is an opportunity to meet Year 13 students returning and the staff involved, and to ask any questions.
We fight hard to provide the trip at the lowest cost possible and generally we are able to offer six full days skiing, instruction and equipment, together with a supporting programme, for a price close to £900 (2016 prices). Payment for Year 12 students is generally half on a place being given at the end of September and the balance around 20 November.
All standards of skier is catered for, with the ‘experts’ and more capable skiers being guided around the extensive ski area while being coached by our expert Austrian instructors. Beginners at the other end are also well catered for with extensive nursery areas to develop on before graduating to the more challenging areas of the mountain. We also provide the facility for beginners to take lessons in the UK at a nominal cost to ensure their safety on the mountain as well as maximising value for money once they do get to Austria. Details are given at the briefing evening.
We hope that you will consider joining us as a part of the wider experience of Hills Road and look forward to meeting you at the briefing evening – please watch out for details when you join us in the summer.
