Students Mark 100 Years since the End of World War 1
The British Legion invited the College to take part in the ceremony in Cambridge to mark the Armistice.
Teacher of History at the College, Dr Chris Welander and several Hills Road students attended the march on Sunday 11th November, along with a number of local schools. They marched behind the veterans and cadets to the war memorial in Hills Road where a most moving service was held involving the choir from King’s College and a clergymen from Heidelberg, Cambridge’s twin city. It was a very memorable occasion.
The Hills Road students who attended were Surena Pahleva, Tait Allen, Tom Fox, Roseanna Pope, Rhiannon Warren, Ellen Olley, Felicity Cooper, Evan Day, Gemma Brown and Lizzy Nightingale.
