Students Launch Writing Competition

Hills Road BETA Writing Group are running a competition for young people in Years 9 to 13 on the theme of:

'Stories are wild creatures.....when you let them loose, who knows what havoc they might wreak?' (Quote from 'A Monster Calls' by Patrick Ness)

Write a poem, story or scene of up to a maximum of 2,500 words and send your entry to betawritersgroup@gmail.com or post to Beta Writing Group, English Department, Hills Road Sixth Form College, Hills Road, Cambridge by midnight on 4th June 2017.

Entries to be judged anonymously so email as a Word or PDF attachment with contact details in the email message or on the entry form if posting.

Entry is free and the winner will receive a Heffers booksellers gift certificate plus an invitation to a lecture by a secret speaker in Cambridge (date to be confirmed)!
